Public Sector People have partnered with a local council to recruit for a Chief Financial Officer, to cover a 3-6 month period.
The role is responsible for:
Developing financial reporting systems and prepare financial reports that meet best practice and satisfy legislative obligations. To assist in the development of financial planning models relevant for asset management and effective decision making. To contribute to the ongoing development of financial information in line with changing internal and external requirements.
Planning, implementing and managing all financial activities of Council including the evaluation of financial performance to improve financial and business processes and delivery of cost efficiency.
Undertaking specific projects on behalf of the Director Corporate Services and the General Manager and to report to the Director Corporate Services, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team on the budget process, variance and correlation of the budget to Councils' strategic
