The Role:
With continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our CFO Advisory team in delivering exceptional client services. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated finance professional who is passionate about resolving complex technical accounting issues and has experience working across varied client projects.
The Automic Finance team provides the full spectrum of accounting services and finance functions to meet our ASX-listed and unlisted clients' specific requirements to advance compliance, deliver efficiency, and bring value to the organisation. The team is skilled at managing all aspects of a company’s financial needs, from routine management and statutory reporting obligations to diligent account handling, complex cash flow management and liaison with external stakeholders, including investors, shareholders, auditors, regulatory and government departments (including ASIC and ASX) and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the timely and accurate production of clients' month-end accounts, including balance sheet and bank reconciliation, P&L analysis, and cash flow statements.
-Prepare and review payroll tax returns, FBT returns, and BAS activity statements.
-Prepare and review ASX reporting requirements, including 4C/5B,4D, and 4E.
-Prepare and review IFRS/AASB compliant financial statements.
-Assess technical accounting issues.
-Facilitate external audits.
-Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with system implementation.
-Work closely with other accountants and, senior accountants and management, including coaching and training.
Demonstrated Capabilities:
-Hold CPA or CA qualification or equivalent.
-4+ years of accounting experience in commercial finance or professional services (audit).
-Possess strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
-Experience in a consulting or industry environment, ideally working alongside ASX-listed clients.
-Experience managing multiple external stakeholders.
