Position: Experienced Chef
Location: Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in the creative process of menu planning, ensuring a balance between innovative dishes and classic favourites, while managing food and labour cost estimates and supply ordering.
• Uphold the highest standards in food quality from initial preparation to final presentation, ensuring every dish reflects the club's commitment to culinary excellence.
• Engage with management and team members including kitchen and waitstaff to discuss culinary processes and resolve any preparation issues, enhancing efficiency and service delivery.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques and the adherence to health and safety regulations, fostering a learning environment within the culinary team.
• Take a hands-on approach to cooking, actively participating in the preparation of meals to ensure the satisfaction of diverse guest preferences.
• Enforce and educate staff on strict hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment.
• Potential to lead and develop kitchen staff, playing a crucial role in team dynamics and the growth of junior chefs.
