Aborcare is a local family owned and operated tree and vegetation management company.
We are looking for a full-time grounds person for our Southern Gold Coast & Tweed Shire team. We are seeking someone who has experience working as part of an arborist’s team as a grounds person. You must have sound working knowledge of chainsaw and chipper operation and maintenance, excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. You must be able to prove you are a great team player, able to take direction, and use your judgement to make good decisions in high pressure work situations.
The role is predominately as a grounds person, providing ground support to the business owner and climbing arborist.
Duties include:
? Morning pack in of tools and equipment
? Driving vehicles to and from site
? Site set up including cones and signage
? Primary responsibility for taking before and after photos, and video content where appropriate
? Some vegetation cutting and clearing where able to be performed from the ground
? Processing vegetation through a chipper & driving articulated loader
? Ensuring site remains safe throughout the job and advising the climber of any new risks
? Site clean up
? End of day tools and equipment inventory and cleaning
We prioritise workplace safety and you must demonstrate your commitment to safe work practices.
The following skills are also necessary:
? Experience with machine and equipment maintenance and servicing
? Ability to record the team’s work outcomes and create business promotional content using digital photos and video.
? Licence to drive legally in Australia
The role is full time Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. The workday starts at the depot in Chinderah, NSW, and you must have independent means of getting yourself to the depot each day.
Support for formal training and skill development and/or an apprenticeship will be considered for the right person, once they have demonstrated their commitment to the company and the role.
Start date can be as soon as possible, however we are looking for the right fit for your team, so are happy to wait for the right person.
