VOG Rentals PTY LTD is seeking a qualified, experienced, and full-time Motor Mechanic for a well-established business in 4 Bambra Crescent, Cranbourne West 3977.
Job Position: Motor Mechanic
Location:
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
You will be responsible for performing the following job duties but are not limited to:
1. The accurate detection of faults in mechanical parts and vehicle engines using technical testing equipment such as computers where appropriate.
2. The removal and dismantling of mechanical components including (but not limited to) transmissions, engine assemblies and steering mechanisms and completing a thorough inspection of the components.
3. Completing required repair work to mechanical components, or where necessary undertaking the replacement of parts in accordance with relevant service manuals.
4. Reassembly of mechanical components post repair and conducting relevant tests to ensure the component is fully operational then making any necessary adjustments and re-testing if required.
5. Performance of regular vehicle maintenance services including the replacement of vehicle fluids such as oil, engine tune-ups or lubricants ensuring the vehicles run effectively.
6. Becoming an effective user of specialist machinery designed for exhaust system repair and customisation of exhaust system parts.
Other Duties:
1. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
2. Contribute to team effort by working with others to achieve results as needed.
3. Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with clients.
4. Full adherence to regulations relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
5. You will be expected to work quickly and efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications
1. At least 1 year of relevant experience.
2. Certificate III or Certificate IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
3. Self-motivated and keen to learn.
4. Technically minded.
5. Able to work under limited supervision once totally proficient at a task.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Energetic and hardworking.
8. Ability to share information well and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes.
9. Very personable and team player contributing to a harmonious work environment.
10. Ability to learn and adapt to new situations.
