Icebergs Dining Room Chef de Partie is responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen. They are responsible for all the dishes that are prepared in their section. Because of this, a successful Chef de Partie must be very knowledgeable about his or her speciality, as well as culinary functions in general. A person in this role must also be very organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. A Chef de Partie must also be able to give orders within their section, as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the Sous Chef and Head Chef Benefits Wage offered to successful applicants: $74,000 to $80,000 full time position 38 hours per week Task & Responsibilities 1. To organise and setup their Section as to maximize speed and productivity. 2. Work under the supervision of Senior Chefs and carry out duties as per instruction 3. To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes. 4. To monitor food and operating costs by purchasing products to Kitchen’s daily requirements and reducing wastage. 5. To assist in maximising employee morale and productivity Qualification & Experience Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
