John Dee is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Food Technologist to join their team in Warwrick QLD 4370.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Understanding of Australian food safety standards and regulations (e.g., FSANZ - Food Standards Australia New Zealand).
- Knowledge of local food industry practices and consumer preferences.
- Proficiency in using Australian laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Ability to interpret data and conduct sensory evaluations.
- Familiarity with food processing technologies and equipment.
- Competency in relevant software for formulation and quality control.
- Experience with quality assurance systems and compliance with Australian standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Knowledge of Australian and international food safety regulations.
- Ability to address issues in food production or product development efficiently.
- Skills in managing projects within the Australian food industry context, including adherence to local regulations and market conditions.
- Effective communication with Australian stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in Australia’s food industry.
- Ability to develop products that cater to Australian consumer trends and preferences.
- Precision in adhering to Australian quality and safety standards.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field from an Australian university or equivalent international qualification.
- Relevant certifications in food safety (e.g., Food Safety Supervisor certification recognized in Australia).
- Membership in Australian professional organizations (e.g., Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology - AIFST).
- Relevant experience in the Australian food industry, including internships or previous roles in food production or quality control.
- Training specific to Australian food technologies and industry practices.
- Familiarity with Australian food regulations and standards, including FSANZ guidelines.
- Awareness of current Australian food industry trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements.
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
