EMACS Electric Motors are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team in Brisbane, Yatala QLD 4207.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Adhere to strict occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Read electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams and specifications to determine compliance with regulations and safety standards
- Use electrical test equipment/instrument to diagnose faults
- Repair and replace faulty wirings and defective parts
- Prepare of drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations
- Troubleshooting and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specification
- Select, cut and connect wires and cables
- Prepare of estimates of material costs and quantities
- Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify and repair electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements
- Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies and systems to correct functional deviations
- Maintenance of installed systems
- Undertake workshop duties such as assembling protection relays, metering and indicating devices
- Collect data and prepare complex calculations to create charts and graphs
Skills and abilities
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Practical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A willingness to keep up to date with advances in technology
- A logical, accurate and methodical approach to your work
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology or another related field.
- Work experience at least 3 years
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 pa commensurate with skills and experience
