We are seeking experienced PAINTING TRADES PERSON to join our busy workshop.
To be successful in this position, you should ideally be:
Competent in using wide range of painting equipment
Experienced in coating applications (Brush and Roller)
Able to utilise different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface
Able to use viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint
Painting small items and doing touch-ups
Understand surface preparation and finishes.
Be able to understand and complete works to specifications.
Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
Completes quality checks for conformity with established operational standards
Quality control and quality assessments are followed and implemented
Ensuring that high safety standards are met including use of safety equipment
Cleaning equipment and work areas.
Safely disposing of chemical waste
Record and identify any product, process, environment, safety or quality problems
Take the necessary action to secure the safety of the work area if compromised
Participate and add value to the company’s visions and business development
Desirable tickets:
At least 3-years of experience and has trade qualification
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics
High-Risk License
Working at Heights and confined spaces
