MLA Holdings Pty Ltd is one of Australia's largest forklift companies, offering total material handling solutions to clients in all industries. They supply and maintain a comprehensive range of gas, diesel, petrol and battery electric forklifts for short or long-term rental or purchase nationwide. are currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Lift Mechanics to join their team in Bibra Lake WA 6163.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Perform routine emergency and preventative maintenance of forklift
- Interpret manufacturer technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed
- Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions
- Good working knowledge of brake systems and tyre/wheel changes
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs
- Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation
- Perform safety inspection on machines prior to being released back to the work floor
- Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required
- Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements
- Maintain neat work area
- Competent to complete legible service documents and logs for preventative maintenance task
- Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology
Skills and Abilities:
- Ideally have a Certificate III in Forklift Technology or relevant
- Ability to work on LPG, petrol and diesel systems
- Able to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components
- Excellent mechanical repair skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant field
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
