Aurizon is currently seeking applications from safety-conscious and mechanically minded individuals for an entry-level role as a Rollingstock Maintainer within the rail rollingstock maintenance industry. This position is based at our Picton depot on a permanent basis.
About the Role:
As a Rollingstock Maintainer, you will be essential to the efficient operational maintenance of our rolling stock, ensuring the safe and reliable performance of Aurizons fleet. Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting examinations and inspections of rollingstock, including brake testing as part of a train or for individual vehicles.
Controlling the movement of trains within the operational area and following instructions related to train movements and safety protocols.
Undertaking shunting and marshalling of wagons and trains as required.
Identifying faults and performing repairs, servicing, and maintenance on rolling stock, both as part of a train and individually.
