The Junior Sous Chef, reporting to the Sous Chef will become an important part of our pre-opening team. This role offers the opportunity to support the team in ensuring flawless delivery and execution of product excellence and service whilst maintaining food safety.

A few of your responsibilities:
Guarantee that food is prepared in accordance with menu specifications, presentation guidelines, and kitchen quality standards
Possess an in-depth understanding of the complete menu, including all knowledge of the base ingredients and their preparation
Supervise and promote exceptional guest service and interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain food costs and stock control
Ensure service is fast, fun, friendly, fresh and focused
What we will be looking for:
Extensive culinary experience in high-volume environment
A positive and proactive team-oriented mindset, with the capability to lead a diverse group of team members
Proficient knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Possession of a trade certificate in Commercial Cookery
About you
You will be experienced in high volume kitchen environments with sound knowledge across all sections. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and OH&S standards and ensuring your teams sections are stocked and tidy. Preparing mis-en-place and food orders as required by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef whilst following set recipes to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and consistent quality of product. In this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you will contribute to shaping the brigade and its culture for the future.
