Position Overview
Green Thumbs is seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time Carpenter. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various carpentry tasks related to home renovations, repairs, and custom woodworking projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Salary: $80,000 + superannuation
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with clients to ascertain specifications and determine the necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
Select and order timbers and materials, prepare layouts, and cut materials for assembly.
Assemble and nail cut and shaped parts and prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation.
Install window and door frames.
Repair existing fittings and work with various materials such as plastic, laminates, Perspex, and metals.
Requisite Qualifications and Experience
Certificate III in carpentry or a closely related field and two years’ on-the-job experience.
Certificate IV or higher can substitute for on-the-job experience.
A valid licence to drive in Australia
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship.
