About The Role
The primary role of the Carpenter is to perform comprehensive carpentry work for both structural and aesthetic home modifications. All work is to be completed in a professional, timely, and efficient manner, aligned with 3Bridges’ core values.
Construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
Build and install frameworks, cabinetry, flooring, shelving, and other structural elements for residential modifications.
Assemble and secure components, ensuring durability and safety across all installations.
Fabricate custom wood fixtures and fittings, both on-site and in workshop settings, as required.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials precisely to meet functional and safety standards.
Provide structural support by erecting frameworks such as beams and trusses to ensure stability and longevity.
Collaborate with other trades to coordinate timelines and align on project requirements, achieving seamless integration of modifications.
Maintain accurate daily records of tasks performed, job costs, and client details.
Promptly submit completed job costs for invoicing.
Assist in ordering materials and verifying purchase invoices, keeping the Lead Carpenter informed of progress and client feedback.
Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and WHS and QA guidelines.
Implement modifications as per Occupational Therapists’ specifications to align with quality standards.
Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs, especially for elderly or vulnerable individuals.
Provide clients with relevant safety and maintenance information post-installation.
The yearly salary for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on skills and experience.
About You
5years experience working as a carpenter in construction ( preferably residential).
Have completed a Cert III in Carpentry and Hold an NSW Construction Induction White Card.
Valid NSW working with Children Check clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
Possess practical expertise in relevant trade skills.
Demonstrate the ability to efficiently program and coordinate building projects concurrently.
An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA) management, and compliance with trades regulations
Knowledge of the CHSP (Commonwealth Home Support Programme) and NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) National Guidelines, specifically related to Home Modification and Maintenance.
Strong ability to partnerships with networks, providers, internal and external stakeholders to enhance and expand services.
