Salary: AUD 70,000 - AUD 75,000

The New Royal Hotel Rubyvale has a vacancy opening for a cook. We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate.

Responsibilities and Main duties:
• Pleases customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
• Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all food items.
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes.
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
• Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.
• General and specialised cooking duties.
• Seasoning food during cooking.
• Check quality of ingredients.
• Maintaining stock.
• Assisting with cleaning at the completion of each shift.
• Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing/pot washing as needed.
• Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Operating a kitchen where other qualified and non-qualified cooks are employed.
• Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures.
• Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer.
• Attend training programs as required by your Employer.
• Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the Employer.
• Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the Employer.

Qualifications
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade level qualification.
• At least 05 years of experiences as a Cook.

Key Selection Criteria:
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.).
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
• The ability to follow recipes.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• Effective communication skills.
• Time management skills.
