Interba PTY LTD (an associated entity of Reinforced Earth PTY LTD) is currently seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Carpenters to join in Ormeau QLD 4208.
Report to the Precast Manager.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to establish installation procedures and materials required
- General carpentry including cutting, assembling, joining timber and concrete formwork
- Erecting, propping and securing formwork
- Re-sheeting timber moulding and formwork
- Follow all code requirements for Australian building standards Supervise, teach and direct apprentice carpenters
- Select and evaluate materials for defects
- Liaise with team members, trades and suppliers Liaise with project manager
- Participate in workplace training programs as required
- Lead the Quality and Safety culture in the yard along with feedback to the factory
- Participate in setting up new projects: mould assembly and formwork
- Establish production forecast with Precast Manager and project team
- Production delivery plan liaise with Planning/Precast Manager
Skills and abilities
- High level of competency in measuring, cutting and installing frames and structures
- Proficient and the safe use of hand and power tools with measuring instruments are essential.
- Basic maths and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Inspiring leadership
- In depth understanding of fabrication drawings
- Understanding of specifications and tolerances
- Organizational skills
- Team player with collaborative attitude
Qualification
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
Work experience
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
