We are looking for a disability support worker to help us in our therapy clinic and also with clients, under the NDIS scheme.
The successful applicant will have either a qualification in disability support work, or extensive experience.
The clients we help look after have conditions ranging from Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, acquired brain injury.
Responsibilities
- Assess client needs and design, develop and implement educational, training and support programs.
- Conduct interviews with clients to determine the nature and magnitude of their difficulties.
- Monitor and report on client progress.
- Refer clients to other agencies that can provide additional assistance.
- Assess community needs and resources in areas such as health, well-being, housing, employment, training and other services.
- Collaborate with community groups, welfare agencies, government entities and private companies to address community issues and promote awareness of available resources and services.
- Provide support to families by offering education and care to children and people with disabilities in adult service units, group homes and government institutions.
- Provide education and community access to people with intellectual, physical, social and emotional disabilities.
- Assisting young people in resolving social, emotional and financial problems.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of full-time experience in Disabilities Services
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline.
- Solid work ethic
- Ability to adapt

Salary: $74,000 AUD + Super.
