We are experiencing exceptional growth. We currently require a Diesel Mechanic.
This role is a full time, permanent position based in South Australia. As a skilled Diesel Mechanic, your expertise in handling heavy mobile equipment, including buses, excavators, dump trucks, shovels, dozers, graders, and loaders is essential for this role.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of heavy machinery Perform on-site and workshop-based breakdown service and repair work on a variety of heavy mobile equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient equipment performance.
The duties of this role include:
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on heavy diesel engine vehicles to ensure their optimal functioning and extend their lifespan.
• Skilfully dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering components, and other intricate parts, demonstrating precision and attention to detail.
• Diagnose and service complex hydraulic systems present in heavy machinery, using your expertise to troubleshoot and address hydraulic-related issues.
• Employ advanced diagnostic technologies and tools to identify specific problems, test parts, and validate the effectiveness of repairs and replacements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology, integrating new knowledge into your repair and maintenance practices
To be considered you must have/be willing to obtain:
• Heavy Mechanical/Diesel Trade-AUS/NZ Recognized
• At least three years of relevant experience and / or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.
• Experience in a variety of OEM’s–Hitachi, CAT, Komatsu, Atlas Copco, etc.
• Previous experience in mining and civil equipment maintenance • Previous experience in mobile equipment repairs
• Current manual drivers’ licence
• High-Risk Work Licence

• Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and DAS
• Able to provide a current National Police Clearance
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
