Cho Cho San is looking for a Sous Chef. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Potts Point, NSW.
They will be responsible for the following duties:
- Work across all sections of the kitchen, from cooking over fire to pastry and larder
Sections
- Work with the head chef on the creation and implementation and development of new dishes
- Train junior team members to the Cho Cho San standard
- Stock ordering and regular stock-takes
- Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Leads kitchen team in head chef’s absence
- Schedules staff shifts
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
· 3 years minimum experience required and experience
· Relevant Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma;
· Experience in Japanese cuisine a plus not essential
Pay: $80,000-$90,000 per annum + 11.5% super
