Yoko Dining Restaurant is looking for a Sous Chef. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Brisbane City, QLD.
They will be responsible for the following duties:
- Work across all sections of the kitchen, from cooking over fire to pastry and larder sections
- Work with the head chef on the creation and implementation and development of new dishes
- Train junior team members to the Yoko Dining standard
- Stock ordering and regular stock-takes
- Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Leads kitchen team in head chef’s absence
- Schedules staff shifts
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
- 3 years minimum experience required and experience
- Relevant Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma;
- Experience in Japanese cuisine a plus but not essential
Salary: $80,000-90,000 plus 11.5% super
