One of our clients All Season, based in Huntingdale WA, is looking for a skilled and experienced Cabler. This is a full-time role for right applicants.
Position Description:
• Fiber Optic Installation & Maintenance
• Fusion Splicing & Termination
• Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) Testing
• Network Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
• Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) Installation
• Technical Documentation & Reporting & Designing
• Customer Service & Technical Support
• Compliance with Industry Standards (IEEE, ITU-T)
• Project Management & Field Coordination
• Adherence to Safety and Zero Harm Procedures
• Extensive experience with architectures BJL, FJL, DJL, AJL, LJL, FDH, Type2, and Type3
• Exchange transfer, patching, test result documentation, fault finding, and repairs, including end-to-end fiber hauling
• NBN projects such as Unified, N2P, ODM (SD1, SD2, Held Orders, WBA, FTTX Capacity), BDOD, and FTTP Installations
• Pillar Jumpering, Copper Jointing, mains and distribution fault finding, Pillar rehabs, installation, joint making up to 200 pairs, STF work, etc.
• Proficiency in using OTDR, visual fault locators, and testing tools for fiber network troubleshooting
• Performing fusion splicing to ensure optimal signal quality
• Collaboration with network engineers for high-speed data fiber optic systems
• Detailed documentation of all installations and repairs
• Providing customer service and technical support for connectivity, cable issues, and performance
• Training junior technicians in fiber and copper installation and safety
• Completed large-scale installations for MDUs, SDUs, and streamlined field operation
• Ensured compliance with all safety regulations, maintaining a zero-accident record
Salary - $70,000-$80,000 plus super per annum.
