We are seeking to employ highly qualified and skilled Welder/ Submerged Arc Operator to join our dynamic team of professionals at our facility in QLD
Requirements of the Job include but are not limited to:
Attend daily Pre-Start meetings on time in required work attire.
Comply with all safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
Conduct equipment safety inspections daily before commencing.
No use of mobile phones during work hours.
Required to meet Production Targets
Ability to follow Weld Procedures and pass Welder Qualification Tests to AS/NSZ 1554.1 SP – GMAW & SAW
Experience joining, welding and marking out Large Diameter Steel Pipe.
Remove sharp edges and spatter, blending stop starts from welded areas on Steel Pipes, both Internal and External
Complete QA Documentation clearly and accurately for all work performed each day.
Before going home;
- Remove all INTERNAL/external flux distributed at the work station,
- Maintain flux storage area at workstation, empty all flux bins and sift,
- Use bins provided for all rubbish.
- Leave your work area each day in a clean organized state.
Follow all verbally or written instructions.
Demonstrate daily that you can communication and work as part of a team
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Trade certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent
Post trade experience in the same field
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints
Familiarity with a range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
Strong communication and reporting skills
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics
