Key Responsibilities
• Complete basic maintenance tasks, including day-to-day preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Assist in the monitoring and recording of plant/machinery in the Meat Processing plant.
• Organise tools, equipment, and materials to perform the job.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and proper working condition.
• Provide input on improvements to production systems and facilities.
• Report all non-compliances to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including Maintenance personnel and Production management.
• Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
• Contribute to key business activities as required.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times, including WHS and QA / hygiene requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed.
Skills & Experience
• Mechanical knowledge or relevant experience preferred.
• Boiler attendance and Forklift license are highly regarded but not essential.
• Sound understanding of mechanical maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability in general equipment repair.
• Preparedness to work flexible hours and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Sound communication skills, initiative, and strong attention to detail.
• Sound understanding of general maintenance practices.
• Effective time management skills.
• A current driver's license.
Salary range $70,000 - $80,000 annual + super
