Job Responsibilities:
1. Menu Development and Planning:
o Design and update a diverse menu, including appetizers, main courses, desserts, and drinks, that reflects traditional Flavors while incorporating seasonal ingredients.
o Develop and introduce special dishes and seasonal promotions to enhance the dining experience.
2. Food Preparation and Cooking:
o Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, breads (e.g., naan, roti), and regional specialties.
o Ensure dishes are prepared according to recipes and restaurant standards, maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
3. Kitchen Operations and Hygiene:
o Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow, cleanliness, and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Monitor kitchen inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels to reduce wastage.
4. Team Management:
o Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
o Assign tasks to kitchen assistants and ensure that all dishes are prepared on time.
5. Quality Control and Presentation:
o Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
o Monitor portions, plating, and garnishing to enhance the visual appeal and dining experience.
6. Cost Control and Budget Management:
o Assist in managing food costs, budgeting, and inventory to meet financial targets.
o Maintain a balance between food quality and cost control, minimizing waste and enhancing efficiency.
7. Customer Interaction and Feedback:
o Occasionally interact with guests to understand preferences and feedback.
o Implement changes based on customer feedback to improve food quality and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum of 1+ year experience as a Chef in commercial kitchen environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Qualification in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management is mandatory.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
