Electronic Living, a leading provider of smart home & commercial AV/IT & integrated technology systems, is seeking a talented and experienced Electrical (Low Voltage) Engineer/ Draftsperson to join our dynamic team due to demand and growth within different departments of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in estimating project costs accurately and preparing electrical engineered project & handover documentation drafts to support our project delivery team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide technical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, offering expertise in estimation and system design drafting.
Utilise AutoCAD or similar software to create detailed system drawings & schematics for AV, IT, Comms, Security, Surveillance, Intercom, Home Cinema & cabling infrastructure systems.
Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications to develop precise as-built drawings & schematics-drafts.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure system designs meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
Design and prepare blueprints of electrical installations and circuitry in accordance to the given specifications
Revise and update drawing drafts as needed based on feedback from project stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of system designs and revisions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of estimating and drafting processes.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Proven experience in estimating for commercial and residential smart home integrated technology projects.
Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
Proficiency in DTools and Simpro.
Strong understanding of ELV (extra low voltage) & electrical principles and systems.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in offshore roles or international projects is a plus.
