Franklin Offshore are an Australian leader in the manufacture and supply of rigging equipment, mooring equipment and lifting equipment to the rapidly growing offshore oil and gas industries.
We are currently looking for an experienced Metallurgical / Materials Technician to join our team.
To be considered for this opportunity, it's essential that you hold relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform maintenance of mechanical testing and NDT equipment
- Assisting with the update of manufacture, mechanical, CVI sheets and NDT work instructions
- Assisting with the development of special testing equipment including water weights, load cell equipment and additional NDT equipment
- Performing load testing and MPI both offsite (including offshore) and within the workshop
- Assisting in the installation and recover of mooring systems
- Repairs to lifting and mooring equipment
This is a full time position and a remuneration package between $73,150 and $75,000 will be negotiated with the successful candidate. You must be available for offshore and offsite work.
