About the organisation
Marinus Link is a proposed undersea and underground electricity and data interconnector that will link Northwest Tasmania to the Latrobe Valley in Victoria. The project will enable increased flows of electricity in both directions, delivering low-cost, reliable, and clean energy for customers in the National Electricity Market (NEM). The project is being delivered by Marinus Link Pty Ltd (MLPL), which is a joint venture between Victoria, Tasmania and the Commonwealth Government. MLPL is progressing through the design and approvals phase of Marinus Link, with design, environmental assessments, community engagement and procurement underway. Stage 1 construction is expected to begin in and be completed by .
