Your new role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior maintenance manager to join a rapidly growing company that supplies major retailers across Australia. The role offers full autonomy and the chance to lead a facility, driving growth and excellence.
Oversee maintenance tasks and staff across four sites, leading a small team of engineers and maintenance personnel
Ensure compliance with any maintenance system, with a handover from the current maintenance manager
Develop and manage maintenance facility budgets while overseeing systems and processes
Supervise contractors and direct reports, providing training and skill development
Apply advanced mechanical and engineering expertise to manage cooling and building systems
Undertake physically demanding tasks and demonstrate exceptional time management, multitasking, and leadership skills
Ensure meticulous attention to detail and uphold high accountability standards
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in facility, building, or expansion projects, with a systematic approach to processes and business operations
Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment (FMCG experience is advantageous) and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OHS requirements
Proven organisational and leadership abilities, with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in large teams and individually, managing a team of engineers/maintenance staff
3-5 years in the FMCG industry or similar will be highly regarded
Experience managing a significant portfolio, including budget planning and contractor management
Advanced mechanical and engineering skills, with facility management credentials (engineering degree preferred)
Knowledge of cooling and building systems, plus physical fitness for labour-intensive tasks.
Excellent communication skills, strong leadership, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
