SICE ANZ is currently embarking on exciting growth and we have a great opportunity for recent software and engineering graduates to join our team working on the West Gate Tunnel Project based in Footscray.
This is a unique entry level of opportunity. To be eligible you must have graduated within the last two years or are in your final year of tertiary studies. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, work independently, and have excellent communication skills. This will be a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The position will be part of the testing team currently working on the delivery of the Operations Management and Control System (OMCS) and related ITS for the West Gate Tunnel project.
This role will involve:
- Design the test cases to ensure that software implementation is as per requirements
- Collaborating across development teams to ensure the design meets the technical requirements
- Execution of the nominated test cases
- Creating defects on the defect management system
- Working with the design and development team with a focus on defect resolution
- Supervise the completion of defects resolution
- Testing all aspects of SICE's delivery for the West Gate Tunnel Project and reporting defects
- Create and execute both manual and automated test cases and record their outcomes
- Review of technical documentation
The preferred candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Must have graduated in the last two years or be in final year of studies in a relevant field of engineering (Software, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science).
- Knowledge and/or experience of PLC/SCADA systems architecture will be highly desirable and looked favourably upon.
- Programming skills in .NET, Python or Javascript.
- Strong MS Office Suite skills (especially in excel & word).
- Experience in test management software (desirable).
- Ability to work entirely on-site.
- Ability to work on a shared roster and shift-work upon request.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
