Painter and Decorator

ACT Paint & Dec Pty Ltd is looking for Professional Painters

Full-time position

38 hours per week

$73,150 to $75,000 per year + superannuation

We are looking for a professional painter to join our business.

Your duties will include:

Interior and exterior painting of residential and commercial sites;

Prepare surfaces for painting, includes filling holes, sanding, repairing woodwork, removing old paint or wallpaper, sealing surfaces;

Protect and cover areas from paint by laying drop sheets;

Preparing paint, using brushes, rollers or spray guns to apply the paint to the surface;

Paint stripping;

Spray walls and ceilings;

Apply first coat of sealer;

Finish walls with two coats of low sheen acrylic;

Finish with two coats of vanish or stain;

Door and frame sanding;

Apply Undercoat sanding;

Apply Undercoat oil base;

Apply one coat of gloss enamel;

Clean equipment, work areas and any splatters that may have resulted while painting;

Amongst others painting activities.

Successful applicants must have:

Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualifications is desirable

At least 2 years work experience
