Position Summary
The Cabinetmaker at BPAU will play a key role in the production and customization of high-quality aluminum accessories, windows, doors, and other specialized panels for the construction industry. This position is responsible for producing and assembling cabinet components, ensuring product quality, and working in collaboration with the production team. The Cabinetmaker will help maintain BPAU’s reputation for reliable, versatile manufacturing and assist in product development.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication and Assembly
Fabricate and assemble high-quality aluminum products, including windows, doors, and other custom cabinetry for panels and cold rooms.
Follow BPAU’s production guidelines and ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.
Custom Builds and Adjustments
Conduct custom builds, measurements, and modifications based on project specifications.
Work closely with the production manager and development team to implement product improvements.
Quality Assurance
Inspect completed work for accuracy, adherence to specifications, and high-quality finishes.
Maintain BPAU’s standards of quality control throughout each stage of production.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Operate and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Adhere to workplace safety standards and company policies on equipment handling.
Collaboration and Team Support
Work alongside other production team members to fulfill large-scale orders.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
AQF Certificate III in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience as a cabinetmaker or in a related role.
Proficient in the use of cabinetmaking tools, machinery, and equipment.
Strong understanding of panel production techniques and aluminum product assembly.
Knowledge of EPS insulated and EPS-FR Anti-Flam panels is a plus.
Attention to detail and high standards for quality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Problem-solving abilities with a proactive attitude towards product improvement.
