Job Purpose:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Mezcals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and food standards, managing front-of-house staff, and upholding the vibrant atmosphere of Mezcals. This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction, handling inventory and budget management, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience and Service Quality
Maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Engage with customers to ensure they have a positive experience, solicit feedback, and address complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Support the team in creating an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
Staff Management and Training
Hire, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
Develop and implement staff schedules based on operational needs, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
Monitor and record employee hours, manage timecards, and coordinate payroll data with the accounting team.
Inventory and Budget Management
Order food, supplies, linens, gloves, and other essentials, maintaining inventory levels without exceeding budget constraints.
Monitor and control operating costs to maintain profitability while ensuring consistent service quality.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Conduct regular checks of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation practices across the restaurant.
Marketing and Promotions
Collaborate with the team to implement advertising and promotional activities, including social media, online platforms, and in-house campaigns.
Ensure that the restaurant's unique offerings, like catering services and specialty cocktails, are highlighted in promotions to attract customers.
Catering Management
Coordinate catering requests and assist with the planning and execution of off-site catering events.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure quality standards are upheld in the preparation and delivery of catering services.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Diploma in hospitality management, business, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of restaurant management experience, with knowledge of front-of-house operations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Budget management and inventory control experience.
Customer service and conflict resolution skills.
