Play a crucial role in safeguarding public health by conducting cutting-edge water quality analyses and sample collection for the City of Gold Coast!
Responsibilities include:
Conduct timely and accurate sampling of potable water, wastewater, and effluent, adhering to NATA accreditation standards
Assist in collecting landfill and groundwater samples while contributing to vital environmental monitoring programs
Perform diverse analyses, including dissolved oxygen, chlorine levels, pH, turbidity, and microbiological assessments, both in the lab and in the field
Utilize the LIMS database for data entry, scheduling, and reporting, ensuring precision in your work
Collaborate closely with Senior Scientific Officers while taking on a leadership role by training and supervising junior staff
Maintain and calibrate equipment and prepare reagents, all in compliance with national accreditation guidelines
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring top-notch service
