Northern Rise Village Services (owned by Sirrom Corporation) is a leading provider of hospitality services to the resource and construction sector. Established in 2013, we have a presence in multiple remote locations throughout Australia.
We have a small number of opportunities for experienced and passionate chefs to join our kitchen brigade on our remote mine-site village operations located in the Goldfields region of remote WA!
If you have proven bulk cooking experience, have fly-in-fly-out?experience and can work well under pressure in a medium size?kitchen operation, then we would love to hear from you!
We are eager to speak with qualified chefs who have a creative flare and a genuine passion for food. The roster is working 2 weeks on /1 week off and in return we offer a permanent position, attractive salary, 11% superannuation on your total base salary and 5 weeks paid annual leave.
The point of hire is Perth.
The Role:
• Provide breakfast, crib lunch, desserts or dinner service for residents on site (be able to work both nightshift and dayshift on a rotating roster)
• Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service are to Northern Rise standards
• Work within budgeted food costs
• Maintain minimal food wastage
• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu and Northern Rise guidelines in line with client requirements
• Maintain a high standard of cleaning processes
Skills and experience required:
• Minimum 2 years' work experience on a remote mine-site village
• Bulk catering experience
• Ability to keep to a budget and keep accurate records.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Problem solving skills with ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Understanding of Food Safety principals and the HACCP methodology
What you need:
• Cookery qualifications - minimum (or equivalent) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Food Safety for Supervisor's Certificate (desirable)
• National Police Clearance - not more than 6 months' old
• Proof of current work rights
• To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
Salary from $90,000 per annum + super.
