Position Title: Full Time Carpenter
Location: Belle Projects - Airlie Beach, Queensland, 4802, Australia
Reports To: Site Manager/Construction Manager
Position Summary:
The Carpenter is responsible for constructing and installing all aspect of carpentry on our projects. You will need to have skilled or experiencing in Formwork, Steel Reinforcements Framing, Cladding a finishing carpentry, in both residential and commercial construction projects. The role involves working closely with the site management team to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to construction timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of the project.
• Measure, cut, and shape materials (wood, plastic, drywall, etc.) to fit project specifications using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim, ensuring alignment and proper fit.
• Assemble and install frameworks for buildings, including walls, roofs, and floors.
• Repair and maintain existing structures, performing renovations, alterations, and maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals (plumbers, electricians, etc.) to complete tasks efficiently and within schedule.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Inspect and replace damaged structures or fixtures, including repairing any damaged frameworks or fixtures.
• Work with building materials suppliers to source required materials and manage project timelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in residential or commercial building projects.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and adherence to workplace safety standards.
• Physical stamina and strength to work in different weather conditions and heights.
• Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Valid white card and relevant licenses for operating machinery or equipment.

Salary:
$75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation
