Café Manager (full-time)
Salary
$75,000 per year, plus superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the café
- Plan and monitor sales levels, budgets and profitability of the café
- Coordinate between FOH and BOH team, ensuring best practice
- Work closely with the Head Chef to create, review and modify menus as well as to meet financial goals of the business – budgeting and scheduling, inventory and expense control, etc.
- Recruit, train, motivate and manage employees
- Organise staff rosters
- Ensure superior food and beverage as well as service are delivered
- Manage stock levels and order supplies when needed
- Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, workplace health and safety regulations
- Prepare reports on a regular basis and provide advice to the owner on ways to improve efficiency and profitability
Qualification and Experience
- Proven experience in the restaurant industry
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Café Manger or similar roles
- AQF diploma or above qualification in a relevant field
- Food Safety Certificate
- RSA certificate
- Strong communication, leadership, motivation and team management skills
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Skills in budgeting and financial analysis to manage costs and ensure profitability
