In this innovative role you will supervise and support a team to meet timely schedule maintenances, respond and troubleshoot turbine issues and always, ensure and promote safe working practices.
At Vestas we are very focused on developing our Wind Farm Service Technicians and Supervisors. If you come from another industry, your first year you will participate in specific wind farm accredited training, corporate induction and other operational training.
Please note: This is not a FIFO role, you will be required to live locally to the site.
Responsibilities
You will support and supervise a small team to ensure they meet the requirement of the site; training, compliance, performance
Safety is extremely important to us at Vestas. You will ensure all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements for the site are maintained and complied with
Stakeholder Management is a key to this role as you will need to update on performance to internal and external parties
Operationally you will coordinate rosters, performance management, daily management board (LEAN) meetings, weekly toolbox, budgets and contractor management.
Maintain Site Safety to required standards.
Achieve Wind farm performance standards.
Provide clear direction to service personnel.
Maintain a good working relationship with Customer and Key Stakeholders
Provide mentoring and transfer of knowledge to the team
Qualifications
Proven leadership skills and experience in supervising teams
Experience in long and short term planning of works on a busy site
You will have exposure to asset maintenance operations, be someone who leads by example and 5S/LEAN principles
Competencies
You will need to be Computer literate and have experience (in SAP and Microsoft suite of software)
Clear verbal and written communication skills
The ability to liaise with stakeholders on all levels
