On behalf of our client (Woods Stockfeeds Pty Ltd), we are advertising.

Woods Stock feeds Pty Ltd is looking for Fitters to join their team based in QLD.

Role Purpose:
The Maintenance Fitter reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for fault finding and proactively repairing machinery as well as preventative maintenance which enables the production team to process quality product in full and on time

Key Responsibilities:
• Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment
• Fault finding
• Responsible for all tools and ensure no tools are left in production areas
• Repair of production machinery parts, replacement of production machinery parts
• Maintenance of all machinery
• Complete preventative maintenance from MEX
• Stock control of all relevant parts
• Planning and implementation of various maintenance projects
• In consultation with Operations staff, identify equipment and areas requiring attention.
• Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness

Qualifications:
• Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter/Mechanic Trade Qualifications
• Current drivers licence
• Forklift licence
• Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience

Skills & Knowledge:
• Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
• Planning, organisation and problem solving skills
• Strong technical aptitude
• Reliable, motivated and punctual
• Have a strong work ethic
• Be physically fit and healthy for work
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work under limited supervision and independently
• Good communication skills and effective leadership qualities
• Ability to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationships
• Understanding and practice of GMP
• Contribute to a group effort in order to plan and carry out work

Salary from $73,150 per annum
Position: Full Time
