Old Murroa Pty Ltd is an Australian primary production business located near Hamilton, Victoria. It is a 4th generation family owned farming business producing red meat that has beef cattle, lamb and mutton.
They require a Stock Farmer to join them in Hamilton, Victoria.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Low Stress Stock Handling, Livestock processing, drafting, animal husbandry;
- Monitoring any signs of illness and maintaining livestock’s health;
- Feeding livestock (pastures and fodder);
- Rotational grazing/ Mob shifts to maximize livestock feeding;
- Performing general farming activities such as farm maintenance and repairs and vehicle and machinery operation;
- Adhere to safe operating procedures;
- Train and supervise staff and contractors.
To be considered you will need a relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification and at least two years of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR at least five years of relevant livestock farming employment experience.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week. An immediate start is available. An attractive remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate.
