How you will make an impact The Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (AMUM) will work closely with the Nurse Manager and management team providing strong, effective leadership by promoting excellence in clinical practice, and supporting the Nurse Manager in the strategic direction of the Maternity department. Join an incredible team of Midwives in one of the most awarded healthcare settings - the modern, award-winning Cabrini Gandel Wing in Malvern. The Maternity department at Cabrini is strongly committed to our staff's education and ongoing professional development. We seek motivated and innovative AMUM who is looking to advance their career in maternity and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. There are 2 positions available -:a part-time ongoing and a part-time fixed term maternity leave cover position. Key responsibilities will include:
Providing flexible and highly responsive service to patients and consumers.
Utilising clinical knowledge, experience and skills to provide leadership and operational direction.
Coordinating and overseeing the delivery of patient care.
Ensuring hospital policies, procedures and protocols are implemented and monitored.
Holding accountability for the ward when the Nurse Manager is not present.
About You Along with your passion for delivering a high standard of nursing care and an interest in further developing your skills, you will also have:
Demonstrated clinical and leadership skills as a Registered Midwife, minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
Hold, or are working towards, a Postgraduate qualification
Current Registration with AHPRA
Hold a current Working with Children
Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes
Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation
Flexibility and a positive attitude
Attention to detail
