Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.
Reporting directly to the Mining Systems Coordinator, the Mine Monitoring & Control Officer (Dispatch) is responsible for supporting the Mining Systems Coordinator in managing dispatching and monitoring functions associated with the Mine Monitoring & Control systems.
In this role you will:
Operate on a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
Contribute to maximising productivity based on priorities and plans by controlling haul truck allocation to loading units
Coordinate between mining and maintenance teams to minimise disruptions to production
