We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our fast-paced, dynamic, and fun team environment.
About the Role:
Due to our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role demands a professional who is capable of handling multiple tasks in a busy service department, ensuring the highest level of service for our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Detect and diagnose faults in various vehicle components.
Conduct air-conditioning and electrical diagnostics.
Perform logbook services and warranty repairs.
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.
Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components.
Perform scheduled maintenance services (e.g., oil changes, lubrications, engine tune-ups) to improve vehicle performance and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
Reassemble engines and parts after repairs.
Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance.
Use computer diagnostics to test parts and systems.
Inspect vehicles, issue roadworthiness certificates, or specify the necessary work to achieve roadworthiness.
Assist apprentices in their development and training.
Diagnose and order parts as needed for various repair jobs.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in Automotive Technology or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of dealership experience.
Experience with Honda and Mahindra vehicles is essential.
A valid driver’s license (manual and automatic transmission).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A keen eye for detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
