We are seeking a full-time Accountant to work for the Tikiri Group of Companies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Advising a reliable cash flow and financial projection to management for capital expenditures and new business and financial risks of capital investment projects
· Discussing and reporting financial health of the business with company director/management
· Analysing and reviewing on the company’s income and expenditure
· Preparing financial reports and performing financial investigations and audits
· Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
· Formulating manual accounting guidelines and reviewing the compliance of financial reports with the account standards
· Supervising bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions
· Preparing profits and loss statements, month-end and year-end cost accounting reports and closing processes
· Implementing accounting systems and supervising admin team’s use of the systems
· Advising and maintaining the implementation of computer-based accounting systems
· Maintaining and reviewing the company’s internal control systems
· Liaising with external auditors Calculating and preparing reliable costing structure for all of the company’s products
· Preparing GST and PAYG reconciliation for Business Activity Statement Lodgement
· Reviewing the company’s tax returns and annual reports and advising management in relation to financial health and liabilities
· Providing advice on taxation, purchase and financing
· Business analysis of expenses and revenue
· Developing accounting policies and budget development
· Setting budgets for departments within the company
Skills and qualifications require:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field and qualification level
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Accountant
About the role:
· The position will be located at Melbourne CBD and be able to travel to our branch offices located in Pakenham (VIC 3810) and Moorabbin (VIC 3189).
· Full time work: 38 hours per week
· Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
· Excel & Word competency
· Experience in software packages including Myob, Kitomba and Xero is preferred.
· Excellent written and spoken English
· Preference will be given to candidates with experience in healthcare, real estate, construction and aviation industries
