Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in mining engineering;
Excellent leadership and communication skills;
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations;
Competent using Deswik;
First Class Mine Managers Certificate, or experience to qualify.
Position Duties:
Develop schedules and short-term mine plans for underground operation;
Review drill & blast designs, liaising with mining personnel to ensure mine plans are executed efficiently and safely;
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting against budget;
Oversee the day-to-day production output of the Mining team;
Effectively mentor, coach, and develop Mining Engineers.
