Fitter (General)/Service Technician

Impact Machinery Pty Ltd is a Partner for Structural and Miscellaneous Fabricators looking for more margin and faster Production. Our goal is to provide solutions for cost effective manufacturing, though improved Design, Layout, Fit and Weld, Cutting, Drilling, Marking, Welding, Coping, Blasting and reduced errors for onsite erection of our customers projects.
We currently looking for two Fitters to join our field-based team. Please note that National and some international travel may be required (must have a passport or ability to apply).
Job responsibilities include:
• Installation, maintenance and breakdown repairs of Structural Steel CNC Machinery
• Interpreting drawings and specifications measuring equipment and documentation
• Inspecting components and taking personal accountability for safe execution of work, quality and efficiency
• Using precision instruments
• Setting devices and other machine controls on machining tools
• Identify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical parts and equipment
• Commissioning machines and equipment on-site
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
About you
• Qualification: Australian AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) OR equivalent qualification. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. • Experience: at least two years of relevant experience
• Must be prepared for work across multi disciplines Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic
• Must be able to work alone while being supported in a small team environment
• Good communication skills are a must both written and verbal
