About Us:
Established in 2010, The Golden Elephant Indian Restaurant has become the ultimate food destination in the Berri, Riverland, South Australia, celebrated for its rich and diverse culinary offerings that cater to even the most discerning palates.
We currently require an experienced and qualified Chef to join our team full-time at our Indian and Mixed Cuisine Restaurant in Berri, Riverland, South Australia-5343.
Salary: $73,000-$78000(+Superannuation)
In this role, you will plan, organize, and manage all aspects of food preparation and cooking within our establishment. If you have a passion for culinary excellence and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes.
• Upload and enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
• Potentially oversee staff training and development.
• May manage food preservation and storage processes.
• Communicate promptly with Chef Manager on kitchen operations, safety plans, and menu.
• Deliver food services based on customer choices.
• Supervise the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure high standards at every stage.
• Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
• Check the quantity and quality of received products.
• Check food is stored and handled as per food health and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Prior experience- As a chef minimum 1+ years in commercial kitchen.
• Qualification(s)-Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management
• Flexible to work on a rotating roster.
