Task & Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and present dishes to restaurant standards, ensuring quality, portion control, and creativity in collaboration with the Head Chef. Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen staff, maintain cleanliness and organisation, ensure prep-readiness, monitor inventory, and report equipment issues. Menu Development & Cost Control: Assist in menu planning, control food costs by minimising waste, and manage stock efficiently to avoid shortages. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all food is handled and prepared safely, while maintaining a clean work environment. Team Leadership & Training: Train and supervise kitchen staff, promote teamwork, and provide performance feedback to improve skills and efficiency. Customer Service: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure prompt service, accommodate special requests, and resolve any food-related issues professionally. Qualification & Experience Proven at last one year experience as a chef or in a similar culinary role. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Culinary certification or qualification from an institution. Understanding of health and safety standards in a kitchen setting. Fluency in both Mandarin and Cantonese is required for communication with staff and customers.
