Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a 'Motor Mechanic' for our Earthmoving client based in the Ipswich Region. Trade qualification is required for this position, but relevant experience in the earthmoving industry is not essential. This role would suit a light vehicle mechanic wanting to expand their skills and receive higher pay! Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform servicing and maintenance works on Light vehicles, excavators, dozers, dump trucks, pumps, and lights with minimal supervision.
Inspect equipment and machinery and check all critical points.
Regularly communicate with the maintenance manager regarding timelines for repairs and services.
Operate the service truck-utilize hose reels for fuel, water, and oils
Record daily fuel, grease, and oil intakes.
Identify possible changes that will improve the maintenance function and report these to the supervisor. To be considered for this role, you must:
Be able to pass a drug test.
Be fit and healthy.
Have mechanical trade qualifications and experience, ideally in machinery maintenance or with light vehicles.
Proficiency in conducting routine checks and repairs.
Ability to work as a part of a team and independently.
