An exciting new opportunity is available for a Head of Cybersecurity at a Leading Australian company. This is a permanent position, located in Western Sydney and offers a dynamic, collaborative working environment, and the chance to lead their cyber function through the next stage of development, growth, and technology enhancements.
Your new role
You will lead a small cybersecurity team with a focus on both core GRC and SecOps environments, leading a small team across each. Currently, almost 100% on-prem, you will play a key role in driving cloud adoption from a cyber perspective and take a 'delivery-focused' approach to take the business to the next level. This is a truly great opportunity to 'make it your own', working closely with key stakeholders (CIO, Chief Risk and Architecture etc), to ensure effective BAU, but also help deliver the next stage of ICT and Cyber development. You will have a significant say in the use of new tools, technologies and work closely with external stakeholders to effectively ensure delivery, whilst also of course ensuring the on-going effective management of existing Cyber operations.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have experience across both GRC functions and Security Operations. You do not need to be a deep techy, writing secure code or actively threat hunting…. But you will have an understanding across this space, and not 'have the wool pulled over your eyes'! You will need to be from a financial service-related sector, or at very least a heavily regulated industry with a strong understanding of relevant frameworks (CPS, PCI-DSS etc). Experience, passion, and love to enhance, uplifting, and driving ICT & Cyber advancements is also key, this is a chance to get your arms around a significant broad-based uplift with strong funding already in place. Overall, we are looking for a passionate Cyber defender who is already operating at a leadership level, ideally in financial services, with broad broad-based Cyber experience seeking an exciting role that will both challenge and reward!
