Benefits •     Full time employment •     Established operator •    Full-service restaurant environment •     Creative role, menu development Task & Responsibilities •     Stock Ordering and Inventory Management: Source and order authentic ingredients, spices, and specialty items as needed. Manage the ordering and inventory of Malaysian Chinese cuisine ingredients and kitchen supplies, maintaining optimal inventory levels. Monitor inventory and control food costs through efficient stock management •    Menu Development: Design and innovate new dishes for our Malaysian Chinese cuisine menu, incorporating specialty ingredients •    Roasting and Steaming: Prepare, roast, and steam duck to perfection to maintain the traditional taste and presentation for which Pinn’s Palace is known •    Sauce and Paste Creation: Develop and prepare authentic sauces and pastes unique to Malaysian Chinese dishes, ensuring rich and unique flavors •    Deboning: Skillfully debone duck as part of the food preparation process, ensuring consistency and quality across dishes •    Quality Control: Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation •    Food Safety: Implement and enforce food safety procedures, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen •    Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, manage kitchen staff, and provide training to ensure high standards of food preparation   Qualification & Experience •    Minimum 3 years work experience and/or a Cert IV in Kitchen Management/Asian Cookery •    Deep knowledge of Malaysian Chinese culinary traditions, ingredients, and techniques •    Proficiency in using a wok and other traditional Asian cooking equipment and techniques •    Proficient in deboning duck and other meats, ensuring high-quality preparation •    Ability to work in a high-paced, high-pressure environment •    Ability to create diverse and innovative Malaysian Chinese dishes •     Passion for culinary arts and commitment to high-quality food preparation •     Strong leadership and management skills •     Strong communication and interpersonal abilities •     Excellent understanding of food safety practices •     Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure •     May require standing for extended periods and working in hot conditions •     Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed   About Company Pinn's Palace, now located in Cannington, specialises in authentic Malaysian Chinese cuisine, offering a variety of traditional dishes and popular Dim Sum.
